Payrate: Starting at $36.00+/hour depending on experience
Earning Potential
Annual compensation may reach up to $95,000 through a combination of base pay, scheduled overtime, production incentives, and shift differentials.
Position Overview
A large-scale industrial manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment reliability and production uptime. This position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and automated production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with motors, PLC-controlled systems, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance practices.
### Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems associated with manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot issues involving motors, drives, PLC systems, electrical controls, and related components
- Support maintenance and repair activities for cranes, production machinery, and mobile equipment
- Work with systems tied to hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and industrial motors
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and servicing
- Install, maintain, and repair automated and electronically controlled systems
- Assist with panel wiring, distribution systems, and electrical load balancing
- Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment such as voltmeters and electrical meters to identify system issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Accurately document maintenance work, repairs, and equipment updates
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operational efficiency and minimize downtime
Preventative Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
Technical Documentation & Support
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Ability to pass an electrical aptitude or entrance examination
- Working knowledge of shop math, technical drawings, and measurement tools
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- AC/DC motor troubleshooting and repair
- PLC systems and industrial electrical controls
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- NFPA 70E electrical safety standards
- Industrial power systems up to 480V
- Motor theory and electrical schematics
- Use of electrical testing and troubleshooting tools
