Journeyman Electrician – Commercial Projects

Pay: Starting at $27.00/hour (based on experience)
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician with commercial experience to support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various job sites. This position requires the ability to read technical plans, follow code requirements, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.
### Key Responsibilities
Work a standard 40-hour schedule, with overtime available as needed
Install, upgrade, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Plan and organize layouts for efficient installation and future system accessibility
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Diagnose and repair electrical issues across a range of systems and equipment
Assist with mechanical-related tasks involving systems such as HVAC or refrigeration when needed
Keep work areas, tools, and job sites clean and organized
Travel to local job sites as required
Follow assigned schedules, attendance expectations, and project requirements
Complete all necessary documentation and job-related reporting
Safely work at heights using ladders and other access equipment
Adhere to safety procedures including lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and confined space protocols
Participate in ongoing training and development programs
### Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installation practices
Understanding of current electrical codes and industry standards
Experience bending conduit using hand, mechanical, or hydraulic methods
Familiarity with tools such as threaders, knockout punches, cable pullers, and power tools
Ability to operate equipment like hammer drills and compression tools
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and organization
### Qualifications
Journeyman-level experience with increasing responsibility over time
Background in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
At least 4 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
Experience working with or diagnosing mechanical systems (HVAC, refrigeration, or similar) is a plus
Ability to perform conduit bending as part of daily tasks
