Job Description Summary
Ready Mix Plant Operators are responsible for successfully batching various mixes, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the plant.

• Operates plant in safe and professional manner – able to multi task & trouble shoot.
• Able to navigate Command Alkon automation.
• Basic understanding of the mix components and quality control – aggregate, sand, cement, fly ash, & admixture

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

 

Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

• Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
• Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays
• Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Dispatcher, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and other employees
• Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations
• Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls
• Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Pre-Employment screens are required before being hired at Callanan Industries Inc

Education/Experience

• Ready-mixed experience preferred but will train the right people
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Salary and Benefits: 

• This position offers a Union rate of $28.39-$31.39 per hour.
