What we need:

We are looking for a business minded leader who is passionate about talent development and delivering impactful results within Amway’s product innovation system. This position will be a part of the Project Management leadership team, responsible for functional leadership of our Beauty, Durables and Home Care Categories. Collectively, with a team of 10-11, this role will support the delivery of cross-functional product development projects focused on Healthy Skin & Healthy Home and Targeted Healthy & well-being platforms. This role will ensure that ITM processes, governance, and product development performance maximize value and support enterprise priorities.

This role will be instrumental in paving the path for new ways of bringing innovative ideas to the company and moving them through the pipeline from Discovery to total solution. These categories all play a foundational role in Amway’s Health and wellbeing journey, and this role, in close partnership with Brand Management and I&S, will be responsible for the continuous flow of new global product innovation that supports Market growth plans.

The Project Management team is a global network of members across three locations ( MI and Seoul) focused on delivering user-centric product and solution innovations to over 60 markets across all of Amway’s brands in categories including Nutrition, Beauty, Personal Care, Home Care, Durables, and Devices.

We lead cross-functional teams, including multidisciplinary expertise in the Innovation and Science, Marketing, and Supply Chain divisions. This enables a broad understanding of the company, plays a key role in bringing the enterprise's strategic agenda to life, and offers ample opportunity for learning and personal growth. We also work with stakeholders and partners in Amway’s markets worldwide to ensure that innovations impact our customers and business owners and deliver enterprise growth ambitions.

 

What’s special about this role:

Project Management plays a crucial role in enabling and executing a compelling set of innovation projects across specific categories tailored to meet varied business priorities and market needs. This role will be accountable for implementing innovation projects at the ideal level of pace and cadence so that markets and ABOs can maximize the impact of product launches. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams as they work to define and solve consumer needs that offer meaningful business opportunities to Amway. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Development and mobilization of the innovation system to drive higher velocity and higher impact innovations for top- and bottom-line benefit; stewardship and integration of Agile Innovation strategy and plans into the PM community.

· Enhance and maintain a high-performing, high-functioning community of excellence within project management.

· Build a highly talented, inclusive team of Project managers focused on performance excellence and professional development.

· Collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate and mobilize innovations at scale for the most significant impact vis-à-vis enterprise objectives.

 

Required qualifications and experience:

· Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex initiatives in multi-market new product development

· Experience using Agile methods and Human Centered Design to accelerate innovation pace and impact

· Demonstrated strengths in the following: planning and organization; communication; stakeholder management; risk management; data driven decision making; urgent issue resolution; idea-to-market innovation; test-and-learn methods; project financial management; strategic thinking and application

· Experience developing people and process capabilities

· A BS in business, supply chain, marketing, or science-related fields is desired; an MBA is a plus.
