We are looking for two proactive and highly organised Wave Co-Ordinators to play a crucial role at the heart of our warehouse operations. These will be 6-month fixed-term opportunities, one on our AM shift (6am-2pm) and one on our PM shift (2pm-10pm).

In this fast-paced position, you’ll oversee the daily coordination of order downloads and processing, carefully planning and releasing order waves in line with warehouse capacity and outbound transportation requirements. Your work will ensure that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in sync with delivery expectations.

You’ll be responsible for planning, allocating, and releasing order waves according to a structured schedule — allowing sufficient time for all warehouse processes to be completed and ensuring dispatch dates and transport plans are consistently achieved. Working closely with fellow Wave Co-Ordinators across shifts, you’ll ensure seamless handovers, clear communication, and that all outstanding tasks and issues are managed within agreed service levels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on precision, collaboration, and keeping operations moving at pace.

Key responsibilities:

The Wave Co-Ordinator monitors the downloads of orders from SAP into Blue Yonder, utilising wave profile planning, and coordinates the allocation and release of orders into the Warehouse. They work closely with Warehouse Distribution Management team to ensure smooth operations and timely collection through the transport department. Additionally, they will co-ordinate with Warehouse Team Leaders and Warehouse Duty Managers to assist with workload planning, advising on replenishment statuses when necessary and working with Logistics to identify waves with shortages.

The Wave Co-Ordinator will report any issues with orders or waves, to the Warehouse Distribution Management team, so they can be triaged and resolved promptly.

Sales

  • Working with the wider Logistics team to ensure that NYP and Special release waves are planned, allocated and released in a timely manner.

Technology

  • Liaise with Technology to resolve issues with orders in the Blue Yonder system, to further understanding of system performance and issue resolution where appropriate.

Embargoed & Secure Titles

  • Work closely with the Logistic Manager to plan and control the release of waves for Embargoed and High Security titles, including monitoring special downloads, timely allocation and release, and notifying the Shipping Manager on wave and order completion to allow secure transport to be planned.

Transportation & Shipping

  • Coordinate with the Logistics Manager, Shipping Manager, Transport Co-Ordinators and Despatch team to ensure work is ready to meet planned daily transportation for outbound loads and customer bookings, ensuring efficient notification of any delays or issues to allow Transport Co-Ordinators to move loads if necessary. Work with Transport Co-Ordinators to assist in allocating, monitoring and releasing Amazon loads to ensure timely completion for collections, whilst adhering to the Load creation and ASN generation process.

What you’ll bring:

Essential criteria:

  • Previous Blue Yonder experience with a focus on wave management and planning experience.
  • Analytical skills for the preparation and validation of day-to-day workflows.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Organised, flexible and easily adaptable to changing and time-sensitive conditions

Preferred criteria:

  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to work different shifts as required.
  • Particular attention to detail and able to work independently if required on a variety of concurrent activities within the operation.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on information provided and sort from a wide range of areas within the operation.
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills, with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work cross functionally with a series of other departments within the business to co-ordinate the flow of orders through the operation from point of receipt to despatch.
