Accountant, Financial Reporting, for Global Financial Operations
Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and result-oriented professional who wants to move our customer’s performance forward?
We are looking for Accountant, Financial Reporting for Global Financial Operations to be based in Chennai, India. Global Financial Operations is a global operational finance business partner, providing efficient end-to-end financial processes to Valmet. We are owners of Valmet’s operative accounting and invest heavily in process harmonization and software automation. We are ambitious and passionate in developing our processes and team competencies.
In this position, you will be required to,
- Responsible for managing overhead cost accounting, period-end closing and reporting process in order to ensure timeliness and completeness of processes
- Period-end and reporting processes covering full audit trail from master data and logistics to general ledger and reporting.
- Transactional data from interfaces, validation, issue resolution and reconciliations
- Management of cost centers, overhead projects and profit centers
- Management of allocation rules, allocation runs and validations
- Period-end timetable planning, communication and follow-up
- Continuous financial data sanity checking to meet reporting requirements
- Data transfers to reporting applications including validation, issue resolution and reconciliations
- Provides expertise and coaching in accounting and reporting principles and practices to accountants, controllers and other stakeholders.
- Works closely with Business Finance and other stakeholders
- Participate process development and system testing (e.g. Leap Forward).
- Assisting GFO teams and substituting when needed
To succeed this role, you will need:
A graduate degree in Commerce or equivalent degree Experience in Shared Services Over 5 years of relevant experience A self-motivated attitude and strong team spirit Good written and oral communication skills in English.
