Skills & Experience

A trade certificate or evident welding competency is required.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, according to layouts or work orders, using Mig welding equipment
• Performs related tasks, such as cutting, grinding, rolling, and painting steel materials
• Fabricates a wide variety of dome structures from oral directions, sketches, and drawings to ensure the availability of items as needed
• Maintains equipment and tools to ensure the availability and functioning of required items and ensure safety
• Requests equipment and supplies for maintaining inventory and ensuring the availability of required items
• Ensure the product is of acceptable quality and by specification
• Ensure effective and efficient housekeeping upon completion of jobs
