The Junior Procurement Engineer supports the Project Supplies Team in executing procurement activities for offshore projects. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are beginning their career in procurement and offers an opportunity to develop commercial and technical skills related to the procurement and subcontracting services for offshore projects, all while adhering to established policies and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the material procurement process in line with Asso Group’s business practices and ethical standards.
- Issue RFQs, ITTs and tender packages to appropriate suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate supplier quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
- Develop bid comparison tables, perform cost analyses, and prepare recommendation reports.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate procurement records (offers, contracts, POs, variations, budgets).
- Participate in vendor meetings and occasional site or supplier visits.
- Support the development and maintenance of an approved vendor list.
Requirements
- 0 - 3 years working experience in procurement, supply chain or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. SAP) is an advantage.
