Ventamatic, Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a CDL Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods to our distribution centers as well as our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver who values safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company-owned trucks for the transportation of goods to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure road safety and compliance with company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, federal, state, and local regulations while driving.
- Plan routes efficiently, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring all goods are handled with care.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, reports, and any other documentation as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to report delays, accidents, or any other issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicle assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a CDL Truck Driver or in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of state and federal DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and read maps.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
