Description
Laboratory Courier
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Courier to join our laboratory team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of laboratory samples, documents, and supplies. THIS POSITION DOES NOT PROVIDE A VEHICLE AND THE APPLICANT WOULD BE REQUIRED TO USE THEIR PERSONAL VEHICLE.
Key Responsibilities:
- This route would be approximately 4 hours each day (5am-9am), possibility for more if performance is above average.
- Collect and deliver laboratory specimens and related materials to the laboratory once a day.
- Ensure all items are handled with care, following proper safety and handling protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including documentation and tracking.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and confidentiality regulations during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and external contacts to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues.
- Inspect transportation vehicles regularly to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in courier, delivery, or transportation roles preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and potentially hazardous materials responsibly.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
