Job Description
- This role is responsible for maintaining, installing, and commissioning of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in the area of responsibility
- Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Attend and conduct Safety meetings
- Conduct and participate in Risk assessments
- Carryout maintenance inspections of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure lifting and working at heights equipment compliance with legal requirements
- Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required
- Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
- Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates
- Complying to environmental requirements
- Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
- Performing work to the required standards and specifications
Qualifications
- 5’O Level Subjects including Mathematics, English and Science
- Apprenticeship trained and Certified Competent as Boilermaker (Class 1)
- A National Diploma or better in Fabrication Engineering is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years working experience post apprenticeship training.
- Must be familiar with SHEQ Systems.
