Job Summary:

Manages day-to-day investment operations, trade execution, performance reporting, investment systems, and regulatory documentation for Adventist Health’s investment portfolio. Serves as the primary owner of detailed investment operations and compliance. Supports investment leadership in investment thesis research manager assessment and due diligence process management.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field: Required
  • Master's Degree or Master of Business Administration: Preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with trade execution, reconciliation, and investment reporting: Required
  • Five years' experience in investment operations, portfolio management, treasury operations, or financial analysis and experience working with custodians, investment managers, and investment accounting systems: Preferred
  • One year leadership experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or current Candidate: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Executes all approved investment trade orders across asset classes in accordance with internal policies, investment guidelines, and authorization controls. Coordinates settlement and investment-related cash flows with Treasury, custodians, and external investment managers.
  • Implements, maintains, and enhances investment management and trading systems, including the design and implementation of enhanced reporting, analytics, and trading platforms. Serves as system administrator for investment technology solutions and coordinates system upgrades, integrations, and user access. Manges daily, monthly, and ad hoc investment performance reporting, including return calculations, benchmark comparisons, cash flow analysis, and portfolio analytics for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintains, prepares, and distributes legal and regulatory documentation related to investment funds, account openings, amendments, and ongoing compliance requirements. Supports internal control processes and audit requests related to investment operations, performance reporting, and regulatory compliance. Supports the continued enhancement of investment compliance and documentation standards consistent with institutional best practices.
  • Supports investment leadership in sector and asset class research, product fit, manager due diligence, industry data and performance analysis, disclosure and covenant negotiations, risk assessment, and liquidity planning. Manages database of external manager communications, due diligence, reporting, and relationship data.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
