About the role
We are looking for a knowledgeable and dynamic Business Analyst, to play a key role in shaping MS Reinsurance’s Asset Management function by bridging investment, IT, and external vendor solutions. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing investment applications and integration into data platforms as well as associated vendor relationships and service levels. Further, robust domain knowledge in the asset or wealth management space is essential.
Your responsibilities
Vendor & service management: Oversee MS Reinsurance investment applications (e.g., Bloomberg) and manage vendor relationships for tools like Charles River, Clearwater, Barra, and FactSet, ensuring service levels are met.
Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with business and technical teams to clarify impacts and outcomes of proposed changes.
Regulatory compliance: Ensure the investment application landscape remains fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements & functional design: Gather and document requirements with investment, risk, and finance teams for enhancements and new functionalities.
System analysis: Review current applications and data flows, identify gaps, and propose improvements for data quality, governance, and operational efficiency.
Solution design: Develop solution designs aligned with business needs and compatible with existing technology architecture.
Testing & deployment: Lead and support UAT, ensuring solutions meet business needs, and manage deployment into production.
Continuous improvement: Identify and drive ongoing enhancements to processes, systems, and user experience.
Your profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst specifically within asset management, investment operations, or financial services IT.
Deep understanding of investment concepts, asset management industry, and market dynamics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and data-driven approach.
Strong understanding of IT compliance requirements incl. financial reporting standards, and data protection regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Experience working with agile methodologies and tools (e.g. SAFE, Scrum, Azure DevOps) as well as IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL). Certifications in that space are an asset.
Multi-year experience in managing vendors, service levels and data integration (e.g. fund administration, asset / liability management providers)
Fluent in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
