This position is based at our head office in Ville Saint-Laurent.
We are looking for a creative and highly organized Social Media Specialist who thrives in the fast-paced world of hockey and has a constant pulse on social media trends. This role focuses on hands-on content execution, managing posting schedules, and creating engaging, analytics-informed social media content that maximizes reach, interaction, and visibility while maintaining consistent, high-quality output. This person will be expected to leverage data and insights to enhance CCM’s presence across all social channels, grow engagement, optimize key digital metrics, and provide internal reporting to improve overall marketing efforts.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Manage the social media calendar by planning, scheduling, and publishing engaging hockey-focused content, while executing strategies that support team and brand goals.
• Brief Studio and Videographer to create original and engaging social media content (text, images, video content, gifs, infographics, memes, animations, etc.) to sustain curiosity and create content around new products and brand initiatives.
• Execute the social media strategy by posting, moderating and editing daily posts for CCM’s social platforms: Instagram, Tik Tok, YoutTube, Snapchat, Facebook, etc,
• Analyze web traffic and consumer engagement metrics to optimize the posting schedule and content
• Manage and produce exciting and engaging real time reactions and social media coverage during games, events, and key moments
• Facilitate online conversations with consumers and respond to questions
• Research audience preferences, identify trends and recommend new ways to attract followers
• Keep up with latest trends in storytelling, video production, animation, AI, social media and sports on all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
• Coordinate global efforts so CCM social presence is consistent across the globe

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia or Communications with knowledge of Marketing and Business
• 2-3 years of experience working with various social media platforms
• Bilingual (French & English, oral and written)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver creative and impactful content
• Experience with video editing software, graphic design software and photo editing software
• Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
• Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
• Strong organizational, time management, written/verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Experience in sporting goods, an asset
• Strong understanding of hockey and sports fan engagement, an asset
