Objective
The primary focus of this role is to provide in-depth, original analysis of large-cap global stocks to the Chief Investment Officer and Sanlam Private Wealth’s portfolio managers, to facilitate investment decision-making.

- Focused industry research and analysis
- Fundamental research of leading publicly listed companies with a view to producing and maintaining a comprehensive investment case
- Communication of findings and recommendations

- Ability to research, analyze, synthesize and present information in a meaningful manner

- You need to have strong relationship skills to establish and build relationships with stakeholders
Qualification and Experience
- Honours degree (B.Com, B.Bus.Sc, B.Sc or similar)
- Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous (CA, CFA, MBA)
- A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in equity analysis. Preferably on the buy-side.
- Strong track record of performance and delivery;
- Advanced financial modelling and Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel, Power Point
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to build and maintain comprehensive company valuation models
- Ability to use terminal services such as Bloomberg and Inet
- Excellent understanding of investment markets and the economy
- Strong networking ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
